• Account information — your email address and, if you provide it, your name, when you create an account.
• Study activity — your quiz answers, progress, flashcard reviews, and exam selections, so the Service can track your readiness.
• Payment information — handled by our payment processor (Stripe). We do not store your full card number; we retain only subscription status and a customer/subscription reference.
• Usage & device data — pages viewed, actions taken, and basic device/browser information, collected through analytics to understand and improve the Service.
• Communications — emails you send us and your email preferences.

• Provide, maintain, and improve the Service and your study experience.
• Process subscriptions, trials, and billing.
• Send transactional email (account, billing, and service messages) and, where permitted, occasional promotional email you can opt out of at any time.
• Measure usage and diagnose problems through analytics.
• Protect the Service and comply with legal obligations.

We share data only with providers that process it on our behalf to run the Service:

• Supabase — database and authentication.
• Stripe — payment processing and subscription management.
• PostHog — product analytics.
• Resend — transactional and promotional email delivery.
• Vercel — application hosting.

We do not sell your personal information. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights and users.

We use essential cookies to keep you signed in, and analytics cookies/local storage (via PostHog) to understand how the Service is used. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling essential cookies may break sign-in.

Transactional emails (billing, account, and service notices) are part of the Service. Promotional emails are optional — every one includes an unsubscribe link, and you can opt out at any time by using it or replying “unsubscribe.”

We keep your information while your account is active and as needed to provide the Service and meet legal obligations. You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information by emailing hello@certcleared.com.

The Service is intended for adults pursuing professional certification and is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, which is processed in the United States. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the “Last updated” date above.
